Vermont Packing List

November 20, 2009

I really don’t feel like doing the budget for Vestigial Organs so let’s procrastinate together instead! Instead of thinking about how my practice is a money sinkhole as I will never make anything off it, I’m going to do something fun and happy! A packing list for Vermont! I won’t tell you what I’m planning on working on while there, but maybe you can use your highly efficient detective skills to piece it together…

For Work:

Kickball and Bouncy Ball
Plasticine
Rolling Pin
Power Drill
Crockpot
Fiberglass
Buckets
Masks (dust and respirator)
Food Coloring
Nitrile Gloves
Chip Brushes
Corn Syrup
Aluminum Flashing
Tin Snips
Bolts and Nuts
Paint Spatula
Mold Release
Cooking Spray
Paint Scraper
Electric Burner
Scissors
Giant Roll White Paper
Meat Thermometer
Funnel
Utility Knife and Blades
Measuring Cup
Heat Gun

For Myself:

Books (Modern Sculpture Reader, Beauty and the Contemporary Sublime, Lectures on Art by Ruskin, A Philosophical Enquiry into the Sublime and Beautiful by Burke, Observations on the Feeling of the Beautiful and Sublime by Kant and What Happened to Art Criticism?)
Clothes (long underwear, sweaters, snow boots, yoga stuff, bathrobe, indoor slippers)
Toiletries (including exfoliating mask–some of this has to be retreat-like relaxation!)
Laptop (blog, twitter, facebook, email is a must–even if connectivity is highly limited…)
External Drive (finally going to update the website!)
Camera (plans for a nice time-lapse video by the end…)
Address Book (everyone likes mail!)
Headphones (music is essential but not allowed in the apartments)
Yoga Mat
